TWO LENSES: Lens One

In order to see all people and all nations know the love and redemption of Jesus, we have to start seeing our relationships differently. To do this we must look through two lenses. The first lens is the lens of our already established relationships; we need start seeing the people we know through a gospel lens, and pay attention to what God is doing or wants to do with them!

• Make a list of 5-10 people who you know or are acquainted with
• Choose to intentionally become part of a “people group” on campus
• Pray regularly for your list of 5-10, or the people in the group, or 5-10 people from the group
• Ask God for opportunities to serve and care for these people. Take advantage of opportunities.
• Ask God and look for/take opportunities to share about Jesus and pray with them.

TWO LENSES: Lens Two

In order to see all people and all nations know the love and redemption of Jesus, we have to start seeing our relationships differently. To do this we must look through two lenses. The second lens is where we see the last, the least, and the lost! There could be those in our First Lens, but our second lens helps us develop eyes to see and pursue people we haven’t met yet, but who we need know need Jesus!

• Read the following scriptures: Matthew 19:16-20 (last); Matthew 25:31-46 (least); Luke 19:1-10 (lost)
• Who are the last/least/lost on your campus or in your community?
• How can you intentionally start building bridges into these parts of your community through meeting felt needs, prayer walking, etc.
• Read Luke 10:1-24; Matthew 10:1-4
• Discuss: What does Jesus teach disciples to do when preaching the kingdom in new areas? What does that mean for us? How do we do this?
