Discipleship DNA

Welcome Disciple-Making Friends!

We created this page to serve as a helpful resource for those interested in discipleship and disciple-making.  With this page, our desire is to provide resources that help us grow and become healthy disciples who make disciples.

If there is anything else we can do or provide, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Discipleship: as we define it…

an intentional relationship where one learns how to be with Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and participate in his mission, while teaching others to do the same

DNA: Building Blocks for Healthy Disciples

We believe that when it comes to following Jesus and being His disciple there are certain practices and habits that mark our discipleship journey. Just like DNA provides the basic genetic framework of who we are, we believe and want to teach the Discipleship DNA that provide the framework for who we are as followers of Jesus. These blocks range from formational blocks all the way to more missional blocks as we seek to become healthy disciples who multiply and make more healthy disciples with a vision to impact the world and reach the nations. We believe that if we train and help form the right DNA we will literally movements launched, generations formed, and life transformed by the love of Jesus!

Remember … healthy disciples regularly spend time in the Word and in prayer. They know their true identity and are growing in it. They take care of their health (spiritual, emotional, and physical). Healthy disciples partner with Jesus to see the kingdom grow and do this with others in authentic community!

Discipleship DNA: How to …

The most ideal setting for this DNA to be used is between a disciple-leader and a disciple. This could be one-on-one, in a discipleship group, a Missional Community, or some other 3/3rd or DBS based group. If with a group, the best plan would be to go through the 3/3rd or DBS process and add on 20-30 mins on the end to learn and begin practicing the DNA. If in an one-on-one setting these could be gone through with or without the 3/3rd or DBS study, just scheduling time to work through the DNA blocks.
